Ascent Terminal started with a simple, expensive lesson: most of what's marketed to retail traders doesn't survive a fair backtest. So we ran the tests ourselves — across dozens of assets, out-of-sample, with real fees — and kept only what held up.
What held up became the core of the terminal. What didn't became the Strategy Lab: the same rigorous testing tools we used, handed to you, so any idea — ours or yours — has to earn its place with evidence before it touches real money.
We're independent, non-custodial, and based in England. We don't take payment for order flow, we don't hold your funds or your keys, and we will never tell you a strategy works when our own data says it might not. That honesty is the product.

Do you ever hold my funds or exchange keys?
No. Ascent Terminal is non-custodial. Trading happens through your own exchange accounts using API keys you create and can revoke at any time. Keys used for execution are supplied per-request or kept on your own machine — we never store them on our servers.
Is this financial advice? Will it make me money?
No, and no one can honestly promise that. Ascent Terminal provides software, data and analysis tools. All signals and AI commentary are educational context, not recommendations. Trading involves substantial risk of loss; never trade money you can't afford to lose.
What's actually been backtested?
The core trend strategy was tested out-of-sample across 40 crypto assets with trading fees included, and a forward paper account runs it live every day. Everything else in the terminal is an analysis and research tool — and the Strategy Lab lets you run the same kind of honest backtest on any configuration you build before you risk anything.
Which exchanges and markets are supported?
Over 100 exchanges through one interface for crypto (spot and perpetuals data), plus forex, stocks, indices and metals & energy. The default data source is Binance with automatic fallback, and you can switch brokers from a single dropdown.
How do the bots stay safe?
Layered gates, all under your control: bots run in paper mode by default, live trading requires an execution key you set, a master live switch, a per-order cap on size, and your own API credentials. Any single gate left off means no real order can ever be placed.
How do subscriptions and keys work?
When you subscribe, you receive a personal access key for your tier. Keys are stored only as cryptographic hashes on our side, take effect instantly, and are revoked the moment a subscription ends. Cancel anytime through the store you purchased from.
